Friends and supporters from Wendell and beyond have contributed to the success of our ongoing Capital Campaign to revitalize the Wendell Meetinghouse. Donors have contributed more than $120,000 and hundreds of hours to our project over the past three years.
Our elected officials, Rep. Susannah Whipps and Sen. Jo Comerford, have secured $50,000 in state aid to our project. The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts has awarded a $20,000 grant to support the renovation project, and the Town of Wendell has agreed to connect the Meetinghouse to town water and septic service in 2023.
Local businesses Greenfield Cooperative Bank, Greenfield Savings Bank, Athol Savings Bank, Scott’s Garage, and Witty’s Funeral Home have contributed generous support to our campaign and in 2019 we were named beneficiary of the Wendell’s legendary Misfit Prom and historic Full Moon Coffeehouse. Please join these friends who have contributed funds, talents, and materials to our campaign.
