Friday, Feb. 9, 6:30-8:30 pm – Wendell Dance Party
Seal, Cori, Shell, Ezell and Deb T are really excited about a new Meetinghouse offering … regular freestyle Dance Party, a fun way to connect with community, enjoy inspiring DJ’d music, and dance your butt off …or however much you want…your own way! Their dance is modeled in the spirit of other community dances, like DanceSpree that ran in Northampton, that provide a safe and welcoming space to dance and express yourself and as an alternative to clubs. More details to come!

Saturday, Feb. 17 at 4:30 pm – No Assault & Batteries Community Dinner, with music by Doug Tanner/The Leftovers and John Sheldon (PLEASE NOTE CORRECTED TIME – THIS EVENT BEGINS AT 4:30)
No Assault & Batteries (NAB) and the Wendell Meetinghouse present a community dinner event. Before dinner, enjoy the Wendell Post exhibition, drinks and hors d’oeuvres with music by The Leftovers jazz trio (Doug Tanner on his incredible chromatic harmonica, Mark Ricker and Tom Randell on guitars). After dinner, we’ll have speakers (Delta Carney on lithium battery fires, Dan Leahy on “What We Have to Lose”, and Anna Gyorgy on NAB organizing efforts) and more music, including a Nature Tribute guitar solo by the incomparable John Sheldon and MC Court Dorsey leading the No Assault & Batteries campaign song. We’re looking for volunteers to help with cooking, set-up, clean-up … please email if you’d like to join us in helping make this event happen! All are welcome, donations requested, no scents please at the event.

We’ll be sending out more details on these events, and plans are underway to add several others to our winter line-up – bookmark this page, and check back often.

* As noted above, some Wendell Meetinghouse programs are supported in part by a grant from the Wendell Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
